A day before the wedding, some relatives come and make Khmer traditional cakes such as Ansom, Nombot and Nomkom.
The wedding day
In the morning the groom and his relatives bring lots of fruit, about fifty pairs of fruit, to the bride's house and it is called Pity Hae Chomnon.
Then Acha, the wise man, leads the ceremony by letting the groom and the groom's parents follow him. The group of Khmer traditional musician play traditional music and everyone is very happy. Pity Totul Khan Sla, Pity Katsok Bangkok Serey, and Pity Bongvel Popel will make the new couple happy forever. The last stage we call Pity Prah Thong Tong Sbai and the groom follows the bride into her room.
The wedding finishes and everyone prepare a party, a big one, for their friends and other relatives will come in the evening. Then we dance and drink.
Everything will finishes at about eleven o'clock in the evening and then all relatives and friends return home.
